Teaser Tuesday (4): Fire

Title: Fire
Author: Kristin Cashore

"You're so beautiful when you're angry."
"Oh, Archer," she snapped, "flirt with someone else."

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Open to a random page.
  • Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page.
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!
  • Share the title and author too so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!

Is Fire as good as Graceling? I loved that book, but haven't gotten around to picking Fire up yet.

I actually liked Fire more than Graceling. If you liked Graceling, I'd say read it. It also explains a few things in Graceling, though it is its own story.

So far I think I actually enjoyed Graceling more, though I am only two thirds of the way through Fire so that may change by the time I get to the end of it :-)

"Absolutely," he replied. "Help me pull off the mattress."

She did so, covering her mouth and nose when the stench filled the room and they saw what lay beneath the old mattress.

Interesting with Fire and Graceling--they sound interesting.
