Movie Posters for CITY OF BONES. Only a few months to go!

Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series is one of my favorites, so I am REALLY excited for the City of Bones movie coming in August! I recently came across some of the gorgeous character posters, and I feel a need to share my excitement by showing them to you :-)

They're not all the way I pictured them, but I'm not going to be a hater, so bring on the movie awesomeness! (Please don't be disappointing like, ahem, that other movie series based on that other really successful book series!)

Also, for a few exhilarating hours, The Faerie Guardian found itself keeping company with City of Bones on a UK Kindle Store bestseller list. NO FREAKING WAY! It's fallen down the list now, but TFG enjoyed its few hours basking in the glow given off by the fabulous COB and trying not to pass out from excitement.

Just Kiss Already Blogfest

Thank you to Christina Lee and Stina Lindenblatt for hosting this marvelous,
perfect-for-Valentine's-Day blogfest!

♥ ♥ ♥

A super-steamy kiss from City of Ashes, by one of my favourite authors,

And then he kissed her.
She felt the brush of his lips, light at first, and her own opened automatically beneath the pressure. Almost against her will she felt herself go fluid and pliant, stretching upward to twine her arms around his neck the way that a sunflower twists toward the light. His arms slid around her, his hands knotting in her hair, and the kiss stopped being gentle and became fierce, all in a single moment like tinder flaring into a blaze. Clary heard a sound like a sigh rushing through the court, all around them, a wave of noise, but it meant nothing, was lost in the rush of her blood through her veins, the dizzying sense of weightlessness in her body.
Jace's hands moved from her hair, slid down her spine; she felt the hard press of his palms against her shoulder blades--and then he pulled away, gently disengaging himself, drawing her hands away from his neck and stepping back. For a moment Clary thought she might fall; she felt as if something essential had been torn away from her, an arm or a leg, and she stared at Jace in blank astonishemnt--what did he feel, did he feel nothing? She didn't think she could bare it if he felt nothing.

Twilight vs The Mortal Instruments

I was a Twilight fan. Then I discovered "City of Bones".
Now I am still a Twilight fan.
But I am a WAY BIGGER Mortal Instruments fan!!!

I admit, whenever I read a book I’m always searching for a good love story in there, so reading the Twilight Saga – unashamedly a love story – was a pleasure. But then to discover that I could get my fantasy-mystery-adventure fix AND my hot-forbidden-love fix all in one, well... step aside Twilight, and make way for… (drum roll)… THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS.

More excitement, more mystery, more complicated, WAY more action (the fighting kind) and - sorry Edward - but Jace has got to be the hottest guy in fiction I've ever come across!
For me, there's no contest...

Well done, Stephenie Meyer, but three (or more) cheers for Cassandra Clare!
