Cover Reveal for Contemporary Romance HEART & SOUL (The Minstrel Series) by Lee Strauss

If you haven't yet read any of Lee Strauss's Minstrel Series books,
I urge you to try them out. The first one is free
Today we get to see the cover for the THIRD book in the series, and honestly?
I think it's my favourite so far!

AVAILABLE July 7th!
Contemporary Romance

She's heartbroken. He's heartless.

Gabriele Baumann-Smith is deliriously in love with her young husband Lennon.
Except, it turns out that Lennon Smith isn't his real name. In fact, he's full of secrets: a cottage on the southern British coast, an old girlfriend and... an identical twin brother.

Callum Jones—not his real name—can't believe his brother's widow came to England. He'd warned Mick—Lennon—that an inheritance could put the girl's life in danger, and he was right.
“Mrs. Smith” is the last thing Callum needs to worry about right now. She's beautiful, sure, takes his breath away at times. But when she looks at him, who does she see?

Gabriele's heart is battered and bruised. Can one brother fix what the other left behind? And will they live long enough to find out?

About The Minstrel Series:

click here to see in on Facebook!

Here's what you'll find inside this collection...

WITCH FALL – Amber Argyle

Born of witches but raised among their enemies, Lilette searches for a way to heal the rift between mankind and the witches. But it may be too late to save either. For if there is one thing Lilette has come to know for certain, it’s that all things fall.

ETERNAL STARLING – Angela Corbett
Paranormal Romance
For centuries, Alex Night and Emil Stone have yearned for Evie Starling. When both men claim to be her soul mate and tell her about an unbelievable past, Evie learns that she’s not the person she thought she was, and her soul is about to become the rope in an eternal tug-of-war.

AWAKENING – Christy Dorrity

When an ancient curse threatens McKayla McCleery's family, she must decide what in her life is real and what is fantasy. Based in Celtic mythology, Awakening is a gripping young adult fantasy that is rife with magic, romance, and mystery.

INEVITABLE – Tamara Hart Heiner

Visions of death plague Jayne, who thinks watching her sister die is the worst that could happen to her. But when she witnesses a murder, Jayne realizes that the next death she sees might be her own.

WATCHED – Cindy M. Hogan

A murder. She will never be the same.

Allison O'Malley's long-lost father shows up and tells her about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan.

ELEMENTAL HUNGER – Elana Johnson
Futuristic Fantasy
Sixteen-year-old Gabriella Kilpatrick can shoot fire from her hands, which would be great if she didn’t get blamed for a blazing inferno that kills 17 schoolmates. Gabby will have to learn who she can trust, how to control her own power, and most of all, how to lead a Council of Elementals, most of whom have more control over their power than she does. If she can’t, she’ll find herself just like those 17 schoolmates: burned and six feet under.

THE FAERIE GUARDIAN – Rachel Morgan
Fantasy
Kickbutt faerie Violet is about to graduate as the top guardian trainee of her class, but when an assignment goes wrong and the human boy she’s meant to be protecting follows her back into the fae realm, a dangerous plot is set in motion.

PERCEPTION – Lee Strauss
Dystopian/Romance
Eternal Life is to Die For.
A spoiled genetically altered girl needs the help of a jaded “natural” boy to find her missing brother.

INTRINSICAL – Lani Woodland
Paranormal
The gene that allows the women in Yara’s family to see and communicate with spirits seems to have passed her over. Until the night she rescues a local hottie from an attacking ghost. Her act of heroism attracts the attention of the evil spirit, and she finds herself entrenched in the middle of a sixty-year-old curse that haunts the school, threatening her own life as well as that of her friends.

This sounds like an awesome twist on one of my favourite fairy tales,
and it's got a gorgeous cover too!

Bitterness is her only companion.

After accusing a maid of stealing, a disgustingly kind and exquisitely handsome
guy named Adam shows up asking Beatrice to drop the charges against his mother.

Infuriated by his goodness, Beatrice vows to break him. Destroy him.

Here comes TROUBLE ...

It's been a while since I published something. About five months, actually (which to some writers isn't long at all, while others could have published two or three books in that time!). So you're probably wondering what's coming next from me, especially now that the Creepy Hollow series is over. Sort of. (Whaaat? And all the Creepy Hollow fans sit up and take note. Did she just say 'sort of'??? I did. But that's an announcement for another day.)

So ....... Today I'd like to introduce my next series to you:

FORGIVEN (A Trouble Novella) - April 24th
THE TROUBLE WITH FLYING (Trouble #1) - June 26th
THE TROUBLE WITH FLIRTING (Trouble #2) - Aug
THE TROUBLE WITH FAKING (Trouble #3) - Oct
THE TROUBLE WITH FALLING (Trouble #4) - Dec

These are standalone novels (no cliffhangers!) featuring related characters. You could pick up any individual book and get a complete story (although it would contain mild spoilers for any prior books). They are contemporary romance/romantic comedy in the upper YA/NA category. And I'm having a whole lot of fun writing them!

The grand cover reveal for books 1 to 4 is happening on May 6th (and if you want to take part, you can sign up here at Xpresso Book Tours), BUT I'm excited today to reveal the cover for the prequel novella, FORGIVEN!

Three hundred and six days ago, Julia ran away from home.
Now it’s time to face the mess she left behind ...

Coming April 24th
Add on Goodreads

And you know what's even MORE exciting about this novella (other than its gorgeous cover!)?
It's going to be FREE!

If you're feeling generous with your spare time (ha! Spare time? That's a joke, right?!), it would be super, duper awesome if you could share a tweet about the series or post the cover of FORGIVEN on Facebook or Twitter.

Cover Love: The Chaos of Stars, by Kiersten White

Ohmyfreakinggoodness how I love this cover!!! I didn't even know Kiersten White had another book coming out, I just saw this on the side of my Goodreads page while looking up another book, and my creative brain was like ......... LOVE!!!

Oh, and here's the blurb, in case you're interested in what might be underneath that gorgeous cover ... ;-)

Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.

Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.

Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

Cover Reveal for THE FAERIE PRINCE!

Weeheeeeee! It gives me great pleasure to present to you the cover for the second novel in the Creepy Hollow series, THE FAERIE PRINCE!

Guardian trainee Violet Fairdale is just weeks away from one of the most important occasions of her life: graduation. After messing up big time by bringing a human into the fae realm, Vi needs to step up her game and forget about Nate if she hopes to graduate as the top guardian of her year. Everything would be fine if she wasn’t forced to partner with Ryn, her ex-friend, ex-enemy, current ‘sort of friend’. They might be trying to patch up their relationship, but does she really want to spend a week undercover with him for their final assignment? On top of that, the possibly-insane Unseelie Prince is still on the loose, free to ‘collect’ as many specially talented faeries as he can find—and Vi is still at the top of his list. Add in faerie queens, enchanted storms, complicated not-just-friends feelings, and a murder within the Guild itself, and graduation is about to become the least of Vi’s problems.

Add THE FAERIE PRINCE to your to-read list on Goodreads.
If you haven't yet read the first book in the Creepy Hollow series, THE FAERIE GUARDIAN, you can find it at the following places:
Amazon, B&N, Apple iBookstore, Smashwords

Sign Up to Help Reveal the Cover of THE FAERIE PRINCE (CREEPY HOLLOW, #2)

Earlier in the year I was trying to decide whether the second Creepy Hollow novel should be released BEFORE or AFTER the A to Z Challenge (because it really shouldn't happen DURING the challenge!). I thought I'd be getting a lot more writing done this year, but in the past few months I've had some "delays" due to...

1. searching for a local printer for my first book
2. getting my first book into local bookstores and libraries (squee! And hence the need for no. 1.)
3. getting a puppy (ohmygoodness he's so cute but a lot of work!)
4. and ... I'm sure there was something else.

Anyway, so the release will definitely be AFTER the A to Z Challenge. The date I'm aiming for is

Thursday May 30th

In the meantime, a cover reveal is needed! And this is scheduled for

Tuesday April 2nd

If you'd like to help by revealing the cover on your blog (pleasepleaseplease!), then please fill in the form below with your email address and a few other details so I can send you the cover info.

If you can't see the embedded form, click here.

THANK YOU!
As a token of my gratitude, here is a picture of my completely adorable puppy.
His name is Flapjack :-)
(Try not to look into his eyes - he'll convince you to do ANYTHING for him!)

P.S. Also ... after telling people that I wouldn't be taking part in the A to Z Challenge, and then announcing on my blog that I WOULD be taking part ... well, I've now decided that I definitely can't (good thing I hadn't yet added my name to the sign-up list!). I want THE FAERIE PRINCE to be as awesome as possible, so that means no distractions in April!

Presenting ... The Animated Cover for THE FAERIE GUARDIAN!

Come on. You knew I would try it out after I found those other animated covers! Now, I know it's very simple, just the twinkling stars, but I had to create 42 different images to get that effect! (Actually, I created a whole lot more images than that, but I decided the other stuff didn't look as nice.) And I think simpler is probably better - don't want it to be too distracting :-)
Anyway, what do you think?

Animated eBook Covers

I feel like I must have missed something, because I have never seen an animated book cover before! And they are completely awesome! I discovered them today when I came across a recent post on Adazing Design, Animated or Moving Digital eBook Covers, that showed these covers, among others.

Okay, so after a while it gets a little annoying, but it certainly grabs your attention, right? If you see that on the side bar of someone's blog, you'll take notice (unless they have tons of other flashing things!) And not only do you get animated covers now, but some of the animations are interactive! I couldn't figure out how to copy it onto my own blog post, so you'll have to go to the post on Adazing Design and scroll down till you see the book DAYLIGHT SAVING. Move your mouse over it. Seriously, it's SO COOL!

So then I did some Googling, and I found these on Picador.com. Also cool.

Obviously you can't see these animated covers on ereaders like the Kindle, and I don't even know if they work on tablets like the iPad. Do you know? Can you produce a book for the iPad that has an animated cover, or are these digital covers only for the web?

Anyway, as a self-published author who's designed her own covers, my number one thought here is: I want to do that too!

Launching the Cover for THE FAERIE GUARDIAN!

Yippee, yippee, yay :-)

Protecting humans from dangerous magical creatures is all in a day’s work for a faerie training to be a guardian. Seventeen-year-old Violet Fairdale knows this better than anyone—she’s about to become the best guardian the Guild has seen in years. That is, until a cute human boy who can somehow see through her faerie glamour follows her into the fae realm. Now she’s broken Guild Law, a crime that could lead to her expulsion.

The last thing Vi wants to do is spend any more time with the boy who got her into this mess, but the Guild requires that she return Nate to his home and make him forget everything he’s discovered of the fae realm. Easy, right? Not when you factor in evil faeries, long-lost family members, and inconvenient feelings of the romantic kind. Vi is about to find herself tangled up in a dangerous plot—and it’ll take all her training to get out of it alive.

[This novel is a compilation of Guardian, Labyrinth, Traitor and Masquerade, and includes bonus scenes at the end.]

Release Date : 5 Nov 2012

And since this novel will also be published in print form, I get to show you the whole spread :-)

The Gorgeous Cover for Cally Jackson's THE BIG SMOKE!

Woot! I'm really excited today to help reveal the cover of Cally Jackson's THE BIG SMOKE! I was lucky enough to read an early, early ARC, and I can tell you that I really enjoyed Seb and Ceara's story :-) Go New Adult fiction!!

So anyway, here it is!

Title: The Big Smoke
Author: Cally Jackson
Publication Date: Oct 2012

Ceara’s desperate for love; Seb’s desperate to get laid. Ceara adores reading novels; Seb hasn’t finished a book in years. Two strangers, both moving from small country towns to Brisbane – the big smoke. As they prepare to attend the same university, their paths seem set to collide, but they keep missing each other. Maybe fate is keeping them apart, or maybe it’s just chance.

When the semester starts, things get complicated. Ceara’s best friend withdraws from her, Seb’s closest mate turns into a sleazebag, and the relentless demands of university make their stress levels soar. Before their first semester is over, both Seb and Ceara will be forced to question who they are and what they want from their lives. Will they have the courage to find the answers, or will they crumble under the pressure? And when they finally meet, will it be love at first sight or a collision of headstrong personalities?

Cally hangs out at...

It would be great if you could stop by one of Cally's hang-outs and congratulate her on this beautiful cover. As long as I've "known" her (through blogging - a few years now?), she's been working on this book, so it's super duper exciting that it's all coming together for her now :-)
