Revealing the title of one's newest book can be a pretty big deal if you're, say, Veronica Roth. I'M NOT, but here's me doing a title reveal anyway! (NOT on video!) So, what could it be?
THE FAERIEQUEENPRINCESSROYAL PERSON?
THE FAERIEFORESTDUNGEONPALACE?
THE FAERIESPELLSECRETSONG?
Nope. None of those. The third book in the Creepy Hollow series is:
THE FAERIE WAR
Surprise!
What? You saw that coming? You knew there was going to be some kind of fight/battle/war thing? Pfshh. Whatever. You know you can't predict what'll happen in a Creepy Hollow book ;-)
Anyway, since this post is a little short as it is, here is a teeny, tiny teaser from the book, as well as a sneak peek of the cover!
Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series is one of my favorites, so I am REALLY excited for the City of Bones movie coming in August! I recently came across some of the gorgeous character posters, and I feel a need to share my excitement by showing them to you :-)
They're not all the way I pictured them, but I'm not going to be a hater, so bring on the movie awesomeness! (Please don't be disappointing like, ahem, that other movie series based on that other really successful book series!)

Also, for a few exhilarating hours, The Faerie Guardian found itself keeping company with City of Bones on a UK Kindle Store bestseller list. NO FREAKING WAY! It's fallen down the list now, but TFG enjoyed its few hours basking in the glow given off by the fabulous COB and trying not to pass out from excitement.
What's your life worth on the open market?
A debt collector can tell you precisely.
Lirium plays the part of the grim reaper well, with his dark
trenchcoat, jackboots, and the black marks on his soul that every debt
collector carries. He's just in it for his cut, the ten percent of the
life energy he collects before he transfers it on to the high
potentials, the people who will make the world a better place with
their brains, their work, and their lives. That hit of life energy, a
bottle of vodka, and a visit from one of Madam Anastazja's sex workers
keep him alive, stable, and mostly sane... until he collects again. But
when his recovery ritual is disrupted by a sex worker who isn't what
she seems, he has to choose between doing an illegal hit for a girl
whose story has more holes than his soul or facing the bottle alone--a
dark pit he's not sure he'll be able to climb out of again.
DEBT COLLECTOR is a New Adult Future-Noir serial about a world where your life-worth is
tabulated on the open market and going into debt risks a lot more than
your credit rating.
Susan Kaye Quinn grew up in California, where she wrote
snippets of stories and passed them to her friends during class. Her
teachers pretended not to notice and only confiscated her stories a
couple times. Susan left writing behind
to pursue a bunch of engineering degrees, but she was drawn back to
writing by an irresistible urge to share her stories with her niece, her
kids, and all the wonderful friends she’s met along the way. She doesn’t have to sneak her notes anymore, which is too bad. Susan
writes from the Chicago suburbs with her three boys, two cats, and one
husband. Which, it turns out, is exactly as a much as she can handle.
This is my first Indie Life post! Yay!

So. I just finished the blog tour for my second novel, The Faerie Prince. It was great! I did a number of guest posts and interviews and bloggers were posting fantastic reviews. (Unfortunately I wasn't as active with replying to comments as I'd like to have been due to living with a tummy bug for the past 5 days. Yeah. Don't think about that!)
Almost every review of The Faerie Prince has a variation of the following in it: "I can't wait to see what happens next. Rachel Morgan, please, please, write fast!" ~ Jessica Loves Books
"Anxiously awaiting the next book. Couldn't put this one down!" ~ Some Like it Paranormal
"... will have you dying for the next installment to be released as soon as possible!" ~ The Rest is Still Unwritten
"... I will be waiting desperately for the next installment." ~ The Book Hookup
Squeeeeee! I'm sure every single one of you authors can agree with me - how AWESOME is it to have people begging for your next book?! SO AWESOME! But - and this is a very small but because I am in no way complaining here - can anyone say PRESSURE?! I now have to deliver a third book that meets the high expectations of everyone who loved the second book. And while I have every intention of doing just that (says confident me), it kinda scares me!
So ... do any of you series-veterans out there have a word of advice for me? How do you keep up the fabulousness while also getting books out fast enough to please your desperate readers?
I had a surprise when I got up this morning and checked my sales. I don't know what sparked it, but The Faerie Guardian sold waaaay more copies than it's sold in a day before, landing it on three Amazon bestseller lists! And so did The Faerie Prince!
Thank you to everyone who's purchased The Faerie Guardian!
