Today I discovered
Six Sentence Sunday. I'm too late to officially add my name to today's list (they close the linky list at 9am EST), but since it's still Sunday where I live, and in celebration of the fact that I started writing again today (Yes! It's true! After months (yup, that's a plural) of unintentional non-writing!), I am going to post my first six sentences:
My assignment tonight is cuter than most. He’s fallen asleep at his desk, his cheek stuck to the open page of a textbook. I step down off the window seat and pad slowly across the room. It’s bigger than I first thought, more like a hotel suite than a regular bedroom. Great. More places for things to hide.

ReplyDeleteIf you are oiling up the gears of the writing machine, that looks like a good place to start. I read the sentences a bit too quickly the first time. After the second time I realized there had been much more there than met the eye.
