W is for Writers' & Artists' Yearbook


This book is PACKED with information. Seriously. Every time I start reading one part of it I think, oh I must read that part as well... and that part... oh, and I haven't looked at this bit before... oh, that was really useful.

When it comes to my books I'm pretty OCD. I like them to stay looking as new as possible. I pride myself on being able to read them in such a way that produces minimal wrinkling of the spine. (No, you're not the first person to tell me how odd what a special ability I have). But with this book I've had to force myself to get over that, because there's so much info packed into each page that if I don't bend the spine I actually can't read it all.
It's been very good therapy for me.

    Yes i love my books too. When I lend them out I expect to get the back in good condition. Some people don't ever give them back though. I enjoy browsing my W&AYear Bk too :O)

    That's funny. I had a student once who had that same need. He wanted the book to look perfect. He barely cracked it open to read it. He liked reading, just wanted to protect that book.
    I also love your V post. Great way to create diverse characters.

    Oh, yes - I know about OCD when it comes to books! The Yearbook is great, no question. It's very UK-based though, and if you're getting more interest from agents in the States than you are from the UK as I am, then QueryTracker and Guide to Lit agents is more beneficial.

    Going to have check this book out. I know about the wrinkling of the spine, getting food on the pages, dog-earring. Can't stand those kinds of mistreatments of books.

    I fold the corners of the page as a bookmark. Hehehehe:) It's a bad habit I picked up from my husband.

    teehee--It sort of depends on the book on how careful I am. I just am not careful enough to ALWAYS be vigilant...
